Offers Europe lambchop is a woman on the occasion of City Slangs 20th anniversary celebration this year, band will perform their entire “is a woman” album, most likely also the encores “is a bonus” as released on the limited EP (plus a few other songs of course). As you all know, except for the UK and Norway who always have been “Nixon” territories, “is a woman” has been the break through album for Lambchop throughout Europe, hitting the album charts almost everywhere and selling shows out, from Konzerthaus Vienna to Philharmonic Hall Berlin. Given the fact that Lambchop are going to release a new album at some point in 2011 (most likely second half of 2011, though), we are looking for a few shows in Europe only. Just theatre alike all seated concert halls and venues with the right capacity (and a grand piano!), allowing for a great evening with great music. Tourperiod: Nov 21 till Nov 28, 2010 (with a slight possibility to extend the tour till Dec 4). The Residents Due to the huge sucess of their april / may „Talking Light“ tour, THE RESIDENTS are available for a Tour period (20 days) out of the following dates: Oct 27, 2010, till Nov 21, 2010 (so in fact it will be either Oct 27 till Nov 14, or Nov 3 till Nov 21) For this tour, band will also accept offers which do require fly in and out situations. Musée Mécanique Musée Mécanique have supported Laura Gibson last November/December throughout Europe as a two-piece, and have supported Get Well Soon on most parts of their European tour recently, as a three-piece. German “Rolling Stone” has raved about Musée Mécanique`s support slot with Beach House in Hamburg and has written half of the review bout them being the highlight of the show… Tour period: September 9 - 26, 2010 (with an option of adding another week till Oct 3) Tortoise Tortoise are fully confirmed at Primavera Festival (ATP stage) in E-Barcelona, May 27, 2010. Band are ready to consider further offers to play festivals, bigger events etc. on May 29 and May 30. Please note hotels, internals and backline would need to be provided. TAMIKREST We are delighted to be able to let you know that from now on we are exclusively representing a great new band in Europe: Their debut album “Adagh” will be released on Feb 15th, 2010, on Glitterhouse Records all over Europe, and some of the best publicists will “work” the release and surely will make Tamikrest a name (please see list of publicists and distributors below). Tamikrest’s hypnotic and intense tunes take the tradition of Tamasheq blues and rock music up to a new level. No wonder journalist and Tinariwen’s long time manager Andy Morgan says “They’re definitely the future of Tamashek music!” Their debut album has been produced by Chris Eckman (singer and songwriter of charts band The Walkabouts), and at the same time, Tamikrest are the “backing band” on the new album of “Dirt Music”, the legendary “songwriter band” of Chris Eckman (The Walkabouts, Chris & Carla), Chris Brockaw (Come, Codein) and Hugo Race (True Spirit, The Bad Seeds). Digging back to their roots in search of raw urban folkblues, Dirt Music have recorded their new album “BKO” at Studio Bogalan in Bamako (Mali) with Tamikrest, with Fadimata of Ensemble Tartit and with Lobi Traoré. Not just another “ethnic fusion” record, but musicians who find a common ground in the music they play together. The amazing album will be released in mid April on Glitterhouse Records, too, which gives an ideal situation to have two albums being promoted over several months. So it seems like a “natural born” idea to us to put both bands on tour together, and we will offer three tour periods for TAMIKREST & DIRT MUSIC in 2010: 1. Showcase tour March 5 till March 15, 2010 2. Spring tour Due to huge interest from leading European festivals, we will have Tamikrest & Dirt Music play a first festival tour in spring: May 20 till May 30, 2010 3. Summer festival tour Tamikrest & Dirt Music will be available for Festivals throughout July 2010 and most likely till mid August 2010 Tamikrest and Dirt Music will prepare and rehearse a strong show together, featuring both bands and loads of music together. However, if any festival would be more interested in Tamikrest, or in Dirt Music, there is a possibility that we can offer a show sort of “Tamikrest feat. Dirt Music” with mainly Tamikrest music, or the other way around. Bands certainly would prefer to offer their strong show together Amparo Sánchez it’s my real big pleasure to let you know that we are now representing Amparo Sánchez for Europe (except Spain). Amparo Sánchez is one of the most representative voices of Spain all over the world. Amparanoia have recorded five albums and have toured worldwide, have played most of the best festivals in the world (be it world, be it rock… from Roskilde to Coleur Café, from Pepsi rock Music Festival Buenos Aires to leading jazz festivals in Mexico or Lugano or Montreal…), and have participated in a lot of solidarity projects and documentaries as well. Amparo Sánchez has collaborated with a huge range of different artists, from Manu Chao to Calexico. She has received the BBC World Music Awards as “best European band”. With her new album “Tucson-Habana”, Amparo Sánchez takes us away into the desert of Arizona and to the lunatic atmosphere of the Caribbean island. This album, due to release in early 2010, contains 13 songs, all have been co-produced by Joey Burns and John Convertino. This album “Tucson-Habana” is certainly one of the strongest albums to be released in the upcoming year. An amazing piece of art, leading Amparo Sánchez from her “world music” roots into “pop” and even into a very cultural scene – not forgetting her independent roots, and in a very “Calexico” way having strong “mainstream” appeal without being mainstream. A great songwriter and performer, a great album, and certainly a great show to expect. European tour: April 15 - May 9, 2010 Summer festivals Additional club tour in the fall of 2010 (t.b.a.) Special events uon request all year long |
